ALTACON 2020 Update

It is with deep regret that we advise that ALTACON 2020 will not be proceeding in its current format, due to the unprecedented and rapidly-changing situation with COVID-19 and the recent Australian government ban on indoor gatherings of more than 100 people.

We are working closely with our fantastic members, our supportive partners and the extended legal + tech community to develop a compelling program of online events, demos, meetups and content to help you survive and perhaps even discover new opportunites to thrive in the truly game-changing environment that we all find ourselves in.

Please reach out to Jodie Baker or Nicki Hauser with suggestions on practical ways we can help you and your company navigate this turbulent environment. If you’d like to get involved by sharing your expertise as a speaker or advisor or supporting these initiatives as a sponsor, let us know.

Stay tuned as we confirm our ALTACON plans and announce these initatives over the coming weeks. In the meantime, stay healthy and support each other as we work though these difficult times together.

Not your ordinary legal conference.

ALTACON established itself as the premier event in the Australian legaltech calendar, following the sell-out success of the inaugural ALTACON in 2019. More than 300 delegates from across the legal community will gather at ALTACON 2020 for an unforgettable experience at the intersection of legal + technology.

ALTACON 2020 features rapid fire, TED-style presentations featuring international and national thought leaders and technologists. Two intensive workshops will give you a deeper understanding of legal technology and its real-world applications for law firms, legal departments and consumers. The full program will be released in early 2020.

ALTACON brings together everyone with a big stake in the success of legaltech:

  • Lawyers at law firms passionate about new ways of working and thinking
  • In-house counsel at major corporations and government departments keen to leverage technology and innovation to improve service delivery
  • Legal educators furthering the knowledge of the next generation of lawyers
