ALTACON 21 Pitch Competition

ALTA is again shining a light on early stage Australian legal technology start-ups at ALTACON 21 to give them the best chance of bringing their ideas to the market, thanks to our Pitch Partner, LawTech Hub powered by Lander & Rogers and YBF.

Start-ups will be invited submit a 3 minute pitch via YouTube for a chance to present their ideas at ALTACON 21. Finalists will be selected a panel of experts and the winner will be announced at ALTACON 21 on 4 June.

Last year’s winner was LARA – a legal aid referral service. Our threee finalists were:

  • Paycheque – solving the problem of wage theft and underpayment in Australia
  • Legal Tech Helper  – Helping consumers with targeted legal information
  • Repay My Holiday – Holiday cash recovery letter writing service.

Who can enter?

  • Australian founded/owned legal tech companies
  • Has not accepted institutional funding
  • Received less than $100,000 in seed funding
  • Must be available to pitch at ALTACON
  • Must not have been a finalist in previous ALTACON pitch competition

Process

  1. Submit entries online, with a link to your pitch presentation on YouTube. Entries will open on 26 April, 2021.
  2. Judging committee to review entries to select 4 finalists by 17 May, 2021.
  3. 4 finalists present 3-minute pitches at ALTACON 21.
  4. Winner announced following pitch presentations.
