Schellie-Jayne Price (SJ), Senior Legal Counsel at Chevron Australia, is the inaugural chair of the Legal Technology and Innovation Committee for the Australian Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC). She strives for faster, better legal services delivered in a delightful UX (User Experience). She established and continues to lead Chevron’s Technology Interest Group for Law (TIGLs) with over 100 interested and active members around the world.
In 2020 she was a finalist in both the ACC Legal Innovator of the Year and Lawyer’s Weekly Women in Law Innovation Awards, a judge for the Australian & New Zealand College of Law Centre for Legal Innovation “Legalpreneurs” Lab competition and a speaker at numerous technology and innovation events.
As a low/no code citizen developer she has built document automation apps and used open source code to build machine learning models, including a fun generative model trained on Blackstone’s Laws of England and exhibited at the Perth Fringe Festival. Her passion for tech comes from innate curiosity, a willingness to experiment and courage to venture into an area where she is (so!) not an expert.
