Sheldon is General Manager – Legal (Corporate) at Wesfarmers Limited in Perth, Western Australia.
Sheldon leads the legal team in Wesfarmers that supports corporate transactions across the Group and also manages lawyers who work its industrial businesses. In over 14 years at Wesfarmers, Sheldon has been involved in Wesfarmers’ key acquisitions, divestments and capital markets transactions and works closely with the Wesfarmers internal business development team.
He has previously worked in-house with BHP Billiton, based in Perth and in Houston, and prior to that was in private practice.
Sheldon holds Bachelor of Laws degree, a Master of Business Administration and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is a member of the Board of Activ Foundation Incorporated, a not for profit in the disability sector, and a co-lead of the Corporate Legal Operations Consortium in Australia.
